New Waterfront Office, Hotel Possible in South Baltimore

A plan to relocate a Baltimore maritime business could pave the path for a waterfront office or hotel in South Baltimore. To make way for an expansion of the Key Highway corridor next to Federal Hill, Tidewater Service Center plans to move its boatyard and boat repair business to Port Covington, a sprawling waterfront property that is home to the retailers Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and a Sam's Club.
