ANNAPOLIS -- Lawmakers are finding that money is going to be tight this year as they descend on the State House for the start of the 2008 legislative session Wednesday.

Warren Deschenaux, the General Assembly's chief fiscal analyst, told Republican lawmakers \Wednesday that Maryland remains in a tight financial situation -- even after a fall special session that generated more than $1 billion in new taxes.
