Assessments Mirror Slowdown in Home Prices in Maryland

Summary


Home values are still rising in Maryland, but not nearly as quickly as they were, according to the latest round of state property tax assessments.

Assessments for the 2007 tax year saw home values rise by about 59.4 percent statewide. While still strong, that increase is less than the 67 percent rise home owners saw during assessments for 2006.
