The Maryland Port Administration will begin requiring new, high- tech, government-issued identification cards from people who enter the state's public terminals without an escort beginning Dec. 1.
The MPA's decision to require the new transportation workers identification card, or TWIC, precedes a formal announcement by the U.S. Coast Guard -- expected in September -- dictating when all public and private facilities in the Port of Baltimore will have to require TWICs.See the full content of this document
