Summary


While the recording industry is keeping the courts busy with lawsuits over downloads of everything from pop and hip-hop to country and western tunes, a broad array of classical music is in the public domain and can be downloaded from the Internet legally and free of charge.

Finding that music, though, can be a chore -- especially considering that many people are used to getting their music from all-in-one online shops like Apple's iTunes. But, one classical music fan's efforts, in the form of the Web site www.classiccat.com, provide an easy avenue to a host of offerings.
