Summary


A number of local publications have engaged in shotgun analyses of the recent primary election for state's attorney in Baltimore City. Most, if not all, have suggested a heightened level of surprise at the prospect of a white candidate defeating an African- American in a citywide election.

Some have provided thoughts regarding voters in the African- American community "crossing over" to vote for Greg Bernstein. A few concluded that Patricia Jessamy and her team played the "race card" during the election.
