Judy Boulmetis and her husband, Lou, twice had to find a new location for their downtown Baltimore haberdashery to accommodate the West Side redevelopment.
Fortunately for them, Boulmetis told lawmakers in Annapolis Thursday, the city was very helpful and the store, Hippodrome Hatters, has remained open. She testified in favor of a bill to provide increased compensation for businesses displaced by eminent domain, so that other business owners can also survive the process as she did.See the full content of this document
