Conviction Reversed in Eastern Shore Carjacking

Summary


An Eastern Shore man sentenced to 55 years in prison for his alleged role in a carjacking and robbery in Dorchester County had his convictions reversed by the Court of Special Appeals yesterday.

The appeals court held in a 2-1 split decision that Wilson Embro Stewart Jr.'s videotaped confession was improperly induced by detectives and should not have been admissible at his August 2003 trial.
