Argan revenue down for quarter

Argan Inc., of Rockville, which designs and builds energy plants, announced net revenues for the quarter ended July 31 of $65.5 million, compared with $75.1 million in the previous year. The company reported consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $4.4 million for the three months. Net income for the quarter was $2.7 million, or 19 cents per diluted share, compared with net income of $806,000, or 7 cents per diluted share, in the second quarter of last year.
