Police executing a search warrant on a home and one of its occupants were justified in stopping the man as he walked from the home's door to his car, then bringing him back inside for questioning, the Court of Appeals has held.

Baltimore County police did not go beyond the powers of the warrant when they detained Derek Maurice Williamson, the top court decided. The court held that at Williamson's drug trial, he was not entitled to suppression of the drug evidence police uncovered while executing the warrant.
