Al Feldstein Views His Political Button Collection As a Depiction of First Amendment Freedoms

They were colorful. They were graphic, Feldstein said. I sensed that they were historical in nature. And I wasn't really collecting them, per se. I just started accumulating them.

The couple of buttons he picked up that day and pinned to a leather arrow quiver became the start of a collection that has grown to roughly 15,000, and is the latest money-making venture for the 55- year-old Allegany County resident.
