The future of Baltimore's cruise industry is now in the hands of Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., who is expected to choose a site for a cruise ship terminal by early January.

The state Department of Transportation, in what was described as a thorough and meticulous process, has presented Ehrlich with three options recently, department spokesman Jack Cahalan said.
