A state property assessor who lost his job more than 10 years ago for allegedly storing building permits haphazardly is entitled to reinstatement and back pay - including state-offered benefits, the Court of Appeals held.

The top court went beyond the Court of Special Appeals' decision in March, finding that the "full back pay" David Reier was to be awarded under the State Personnel and Pensions Article includes such benefits as retirement credit, leave, and medical, dental and life insurance.
