The board of trustees of the Maryland Independent College and University Association has elected Mary Pat Seurkamp, president of College of Notre Dame of Maryland, as chair. Other appointments include: Vice Chair Baird Tipson, president of Washington College; Secretary/Treasurer Rev. Brian Linnane, president of Loyola College; Member at Large Kevin Manning, president of Stevenson University; and Capital Projects Committee Chair Thomas Powell, president of Mount St. Mary's University.

College of Notre Dame of Maryland has hired Nicole Sparano Culhane as director of experiential education of its new school of pharmacy. She began her position Aug. 1. Culhane comes to College of Notre Dame from Wilkes University's Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, where she served as an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
