Keswick Multi-Care Center in Baltimore Joins Trend to in-Home Elder Care

In response to industry trends, Keswick Multi-Care Center has started its own in-home care program to help elderly clients grow old in their own homes.The Johns Hopkins-affiliated long-term care facility in Baltimore accepted its first clients into Keswick At Home in September, and now serves six local elderly men and women.

The new program is headed by a care manager who aids elderly people and their families to navigate the confusing maze of services - in-home nursing, meal delivery, transportation and even financial services - for those who choose to age at home.The 120-year-old, 222- resident nonprofit facility initiated the new program after noting a need to assist those who stay home, whether to save money or to remain in the comforting environment of their own house, said Keswick CEO Libby Bowerman.
