The Court of Appeals has suspended a lawyer indefinitely for a stalking conviction, even though the Supreme Court of New Jersey, where the attorney lives, suspended him for only three months.
According to the Maryland top court's opinion, Paul Stephen Beatty of Spring Lake, N.J., pleaded guilty to fourth-degree stalking in 2007. He stalked a horse trainer at a racetrack in New Jersey and followed her home to South Carolina.See the full content of this document
