Women's problems

Hannah B. Thomas of Greenwood, Del., a former Caroline County paramedic, is suing the county, claiming it violated the Pregnancy Discrimination Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act when it terminated her by virtue of her pregnancy and/or by virtue of her taking pregnancy-related leave, and denied her a transfer or light duty assignment as it routinely offers to non-pregnant employees, according to her complaint filed in federal court in Baltimore. Thomas' department head allegedly complained he was losing too much time due to women's problems and that women always had something wrong with them, she claims.
