Maryland's presence on Inc. magazine's list of the country's 500 fastest-growing private companies dropped by more than half during the past year, a fall highlighted by a notable dive in the technology sector.
Just 14 Maryland companies made the 2004 list, compared to 30 last year. A year after two companies - Under Armour Performance Apparel and 180s Inc. - ranked second and ninth, respectively, not a single Maryland company cracked the top 15 in 2004.See the full content of this document
