The greenhouses are abandoned now, but the University of Maryland hopes it can grow something new there in the next few years.
Across Baltimore Avenue from the greenhouses is the main entrance to the university's College Park campus. The area known as East Campus, made up of the greenhouses, as well as bus depots, parking lots and aging student dwellings known as Old Leonardtown, stands out along this stretch of Baltimore Avenue for its lack of new development.See the full content of this document
