General Motors Corp. will announce the expansion of its White Marsh plant Tuesday, nearly doubling the size of its work force to build a new fuel-efficient motor, sources said.
The struggling automaker, which emerged from bankruptcy in July, is said to be launching a new motor at the facility that will have the fuel efficiency of an electric car and the towing capabilities of a full-size truck.
